Ken Garff Automotive Group/ Community Sponsorship 2005-2009

Working for the Utah Blaze Arena Football team was one of the highlights of my time with Ken Garff Automotive Group. While leading a team of 5 in on-field promotions and halftime planning, I developed and executed Blaze marketing efforts in 54 high schools and 220 elementary schools. I also developed and executed an upper-bowl ticketing strategy that led AFL in attendance and revenue.

The KEYS and ROAD to SUCCESS programs were community sponsorship programs created to give kids a greater desire to improve themselves. Nothing felt more fulfilling than giving a car away to a deserving teenager in front of thousands of his/her peers. While running this program I hosted 200 high school assemblies in 54 high schools, developed sponsorship packages leading to $1M media coverage donations, and dispersed 20,000 annual prizes through interactive marketing techniques with a team of 2. I was the lynchpin between advertising agencies, art firms, website prize fulfillment, and the printer. I also wrote Ad Copy, Launch video copy, and weekly news stories about Keys to Success appearing in Utah's largest newspaper.

The Road to Success Literacy Program improved standardized test scores in 220 elementary schools.

Event planning was another part of my job at Ken Garff . Some of those events include: AFL Fan Appreciation Day, golf tournaments, rock concerts, food drives, parades (gathering new cars for Utah's largest parade, The Days of '47), youth leadership camps, Blaze mascot appearances, and special media coverage events.
