BYU FOOTBALL and OLYMPIC SPORTS 2001-2005

From 2001-2005 I led the painting of Cougar Field at Lavell Edwards Stadium. This means my team painted the lines, hashes, numbers, murals, endzones, and logos. It takes 4 solid days to prepare the field for a home game, and basically non-stop maintenance after one to get it ready for the next game. It also takes a steady hand and and near OCD-like frame of mind to make sure it looks perfect on ESPN.

I also helped with the sideline setup, field goal set up, and even pulled up the field goal nets during the games. (It's awesome to be on the field as part of your job!) I also helped prep the Olympic Sport fields with the same attention to perfection. Soccer, Rugby, Lacrosse, Baseball and Softball, and even track and field needed tons of set up and preparation.

The main things I learned from these 4 years are:
*There are no such things as normal hours.
*I love working in sports and doing my part to help athletes reach their potential.
*As a team you can accomplish anything.
*Leading by example is much more effective than telling people what to do.
